Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary is pleased to invite the community to a free workshop about financial planning as part of The Bridge monthly seminars. The workshop, co-hosted by Whittier-based Friendly Hills Bank, will be held on September 13th from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the Rose Hills Reception Center.
Jeffrey Ball, President and CEO of Friendly Hills Bank, will lead the one-hour discussion related to getting your finances in order. The workshop will provide an overview of how to develop a financial plan and will include topics such as knowing what documents the bank will need and understanding the roles of trustees and beneficiaries.
The workshop is part of Rose Hills’ Bridge program which addresses finances, banking, insurance, estate administration, grief counseling and similar themes that are often challenging during difficult times through monthly workshops. The workshops are led by recognized experts in their field who will freely share their valuable insights to the community.
“The workshops are held in a positive, supportive environment,” said Jim Richardson, director of community development. “They are not sales events, but an extension of our support beyond a funeral service. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of whether or not they have loved ones interred at Rose Hills.”
The Bridge program joins an annual program of free community and cultural events offered by Rose Hills. Please call (562) 699-0921, ext. 4509 for information about scheduled topics to be addressed at future workshops.
